You are not forgotten

The table cloth is white....it symbolizes the purity of their intentions to responds to their county's call to arms. The single rose displayed symbolizes families and loved ones who keep faith awaiting their return. The ribbon tied on the vase is reminiscent of the red ribbon worn on the lapel and breasts who bear witness to their unyielding determination to demand a proper accounting for the missing. A slice of lemon on the plate to remind about their bitter fate. There is a salt on the plate....symbolic of the family's tear as they wait. The glass is inverted as they can not toast with their families and loved ones. The chair is empty....as they are not here.

In the past, family members of profession arms set this table in a place of honor to remember their fallen and missing fellow.
